How do we do it?
Our carpet and upholstery cleaning process
The first stage is dry vacuuming to remove dust and surface debris
We vacuum the carpet or upholstery thoroughly first. Dust, crumbs and pet hair come out before any water touches the fabric.
The second stage is pre-treatment of stubborn stains
Stains from wine, paint, slime, modelling clay and similar spills are treated by hand. The technician picks a stain remover to suit the type and makeup of each stain.
The third stage is applying the cleaning pre-spray
An alkaline pre-spray with enzymes is applied evenly over the whole carpet or piece of furniture to loosen everyday soil. It stays wet on the fibres until the technician works it in.
The fourth stage is gentle agitation
To work the pre-spray deeper into the fibres, the technician agitates the carpet or upholstery with an orbital machine or a soft brush in circular motions, without damaging the material.
The fifth stage is hot-water extraction at 220°F
Our truck-mount unit flushes the fibres with clean water heated to 220°F and vacuums it straight back out, together with the loosened dirt. On heavily soiled areas the technician repeats the pass.
The sixth stage is a neutralizing rinse that restores pH
The fibres are rinsed with a mild acidic conditioner through the extractor. This removes alkaline residue, returns the fabric to its natural pH and helps prevent yellowing or stiffness later.
The seventh stage is fast drying on request
Furniture dries on its own in about 4 hours. If you need it sooner, the technician sets up an air mover on the spot, so you can use the sofa or armchair the same day.
